110th Anniversary Dinner Dance

Panchiaki "Korais" Society of New York held our 110th Anniversary Dinner Dance on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Leonard's Palazzo of Great Neck. Over 160 people were in attendance. Mylos Entertainment and DJ SAVA kept people dancing the entire evening.

Once again, our dance committee consisting of Toula Reynolds, Maria Xydas, Anna Yiatrou and Christine Gerazounis did a great job in putting together this magnificent event.

In 2020 and 2021, the Society awarded a total of $40,000 in scholarships to 27 students of Chian background. On this evening, we recognized those who were in attendance.

We also presented another two donations to worthy organizations: - National Hellenic Society Heritage Greece program - Cathedral School in Manhattan and its Greek School/Greek Language Program. These were only some of the over $75,000 in donations and contributions the Society made in the past year.

We also launched our 2022 Education Scholarship Program where we plan to award up to four(4) $2500 scholarships to students graduating high school or are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Depending on the number of applicants and our ability to do so, we hope to match or do better than what we have in previous years in support of our students and honor the legacy of those who came before us as well as the namesake of our organization Adamantios Korais who’s life’s work was promoting the importance of education to sustain Greece and its heritage.
