Our identity as Chians and Greek-Americans is not something that can be stolen or taken from us but can easily be lost. And with each generation there are so many who are moving closer to losing that identity. One of the greatest gifts I can give to my children and their children is something my father tried for so many years to instill in me: A knowledge and love for who I am and where I come from.

The qualifications for membership are as follows:
The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Must be either born in Chios, be married to someone who was born in Chios or otherwise one of his parents or grandparents be born in Chios.
Must be of good and moral character and his membership, in the absolute discretion of the Committee, must be in the best interests of the Society.
The Membership Committee shall decide upon each application separately and, in the event the application is approved, shall submit its recommendations to the Board of Trustees for final action.
All new members of the Society shall be entitled to vote six (6) months after their admission and payment of dues and may run for office (except as hereinafter otherwise provided) eighteen (18) months after such acceptance and payment.
Annual Dues are $25 per year. (New applicants should wait until their application is formally approved to submit payment.)
